Spring 2009
Award

We are proud to announce the Smytham Manor has been presented with a Practical Caravan Top 100 Park Award. The award is presented as a result of nominations sent to the magazine so thank you all for your help in achieving this award, we feel it represents all the hard work put in to making Smytham Manor one of the top parks in the country, we are a great park but work hard to maintain the friendly family feel.

It's Been a Busy Winter
During the winter the gas tanks from in front of reception have been moved to an area behind the information shed and as well as general maintenance the pond area has continued to be cleared and landscaped. The de-silting and landscaping of the ponds continues. We have increased the depth of all the ponds by between 4 and 6 feet. We have also created new level areas so visitors can sit and enjoy a picnic or just take in the view of the wild flowers and grasses which will be sown all around the pond area.
Not Quite Frozen Solid
With the current plummet in temperature, on caravan 36’s decking they record the temperature on 5th Jan as -16c, the water has been freezing. The ponds have frozen right over and although this area has restricted access it hasn't stopped the Ducks going skating. We are pleased to report that the sun is still shining and giving us a dry winter so far. But If you have any concerns regarding your caravan please contact reception.
